Survivors
At Healing Home Group, Inc., we believe in listening to survivors — not just their physical needs, but their emotional truth, their lived experiences, and their hopes for the future. Today, we are proud to launch the Regenerative Living Study, a groundbreaking research initiative that puts survivor voices at the heart of innovation.
This study is not about lab reports or statistics. It is about real people — those who live every day with the scars, the tightness, and the invisible weight that split thickness skin grafts can carry. It is about honoring their experiences and using those insights to push medicine forward.
Why This Matters
Split thickness grafts have saved countless lives, but saving a life is only the beginning of a survivor’s journey. For many, these grafts come with long term challenges: limited range of motion, chronic tightness, increased scarring, and emotional struggles related to appearance and identity.
Many survivors have shared that they feel trapped in their bodies — longing not just for healing, but for wholeness.
This is why the Regenerative Living Study exists: to document these stories, identify patterns, and help guide the medical field toward regenerative full thickness skin solutions — treatments that not only close wounds but give back freedom, elasticity, and dignity.
What We Are Asking
Through a short, confidential survey, we are inviting survivors to share:
• What areas were grafted?
• How do grafts impact daily life and movement?
• What are the emotional or social effects of living with visible scarring?
• If regenerative medicine could restore full thickness skin, how would it change your life?
We also ask about mental health support, body image, and what survivors wish doctors and researchers truly understood.
Our Long Term Vision
The voices we collect will inform conversations with medical schools, plastic surgery departments, biotech companies, and regenerative medicine startups. We are not just collecting data — we are building a case for change.
Our goal is to advocate for:
• Clinical trials focused on restoring full thickness skin
• Patient centered design in new treatments and wound care products
• Integrated mental health care as part of recovery
• Survivor feedback loops in innovation
We are also reaching out to mental health counselors, because we know that trauma does not end with the skin — and emotional healing deserves just as much attention.
From Survivors, For Survivors
This study is powered by burn survivors, many of whom have walked through pain and are now standing strong in advocacy. It is part of Healing Home Group’s mission to Rest. Rebuild. Rise. — and this study is one way we are rising together.
This is more than research. It is community led change. It is about creating a future where regenerative skin solutions give people back their lives — where looking in the mirror does not bring pain, but pride.
How You Can Get Involved
If you are a burn survivor and have experienced split thickness skin grafts, we invite you to take part in the Regenerative Living Study. Your experience matters — and it could help shape the future of treatment for others just like you.

Together, we are not just imagining a better future.
We are building it.
